Dog having nose problems please help?

I don't know where you live or what type of climate you live in but where I live right now, pollen is crazy! It could simply just be something in the air making his nose run just like when people have allergies. Just keep a close eye on it, I'm sure its nothing major...As for your vet, shame on them! ever thought of going to a different vet or contacting a pit rescue group and see who they use for a vet? Sorry for your trouble and I hope your dog gets better :)
